Border Walls Divide

I think border walls divide because they separate nations, cultures, traditions, etc. There are also to types of borders mental and physical borders. A physical border that separates nations is the border wall between north and south Korea, North Korea is ran on dictatorship and South Korea is the complete opposite. If somebody moves somewhere new they could be judged or looked at differently because of the borders placed on learning about other cultures. Which then impacts that person mentally and causes them to build their own wall inside their mind.

Audience Awarness

The Budweiser's commercial is intended for younger adults who can legally drink because they seem like the kind of people to celebrate party's, job promotions, etc. These companies know that they are able to appeal to the younger generation because they look for ads that flatter their wants. The cereal commercial  is intended for parents that want there kids to eat a healthier breakfast because they have all these unhealthy cereals they wanted to give people a healthier option. These companies know that they can appeal to these parents because the parents wants hats best for their kids. The Nike commercial is intended to give people self motivation and to get people to follow their dreams and do something with their life because self motivation is key. Nike knows that they can appeal to athletes with the way of including all these star athletes in this video and reach out to regular people to because they used Colin Kapernick who caused a uproar and set a lot of social Standard...

My transition to college and how it relates the book, "The Transition to College Writing" by Keith Hjortshoj

The transition to college for me was very hard. I had to study more and turn in a lot more papers. It is also a lot more stressful with all the due dates and works that need to be turned in so close together. To be in college you definitely have to be focused, with good time management, and a great mindset. But if you just do your work and turn your work in on time you will be just fine. I think listening, reading, and writing are important processes because those are the processes that will get you the grades you need. You need to be a great listener because you need to white down good notes so that you will understand what your learning. Reading helps to because if you read over what your learning you will retain the knowledge a lot better. I think the role of the first year writing course is important because you do not write very many papers in high school but that is all you pretty much do in college. It sets a base for you so you can write well formatted papers for the rest of ...

A Forgotten Night

So there I was waking up from what I thought was another great night on the town, only to find out I was not in the comfort of my own home. I was behind metal bars and concrete walls in a cold/nasty cell block in the county jail. With no memory of what happened the night before and a headache that was splitting my head. So as I sit up from the jail bed, a receipt fell out of my pocket it was from the local bar down the street, a business card, 9 mm bullets, 10 Xanax bars, and $30,000 in cash. So I look through my pockets and try to start piecing together the night. Once I finally put all the items in the right order, I remembered bits and pieces of what had happened. The business card that I had was from the local bar right down the block from the police station where I was being held. I remember meeting a guy there and he bought me a drink. After a few minutes, I started feeling queasy so I got up and went to the restroom. The last thing I remember from the bar was the same man who bo...
